Security Officer - Armed - Commercial Real Estate Patrol

As a Security Officer - Armed - Commercial Real Estate Patrol in New Orleans, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer for a commercial real estate location, you will drive and patrol assigned areas, staying highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will conduct routine rounds, respond to calls for service, and document observations with clear, timely reports. You will also provide courteous customer service while communicating with site contacts and local partners. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout commercial property areas including building interiors, lobbies, corridors, loading areas, garages, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Maintain a high-visibility presence while carrying authorized equipment and following all weapons handling, retention, and storage requirements in accordance with company and location policy.
• Monitor access points and help to control entry by verifying identification, issuing visitor directions, and documenting access as required by site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, suspicious activity, medical situations, fires, and/or property damage, and coordinate with law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed.
• Observe, document, and report security-related hazards, maintenance issues, and policy violations to property management and Allied Universal supervision.
• Complete detailed reports and logs for patrol activity, incidents, inspections, and tenant requests using written and/or electronic reporting systems.
• Operate and monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, alarms, access control, and radio communications, and notify appropriate parties of irregular conditions.
• Conduct checks of doors, gates, and other access controls to help to confirm they are secured according to site procedures, and report deficiencies for corrective action.
• Assist with special property needs such as move-ins, deliveries, after-hours access requests, and tenant or visitor escorts as directed by post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card/license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
