Security Officer Armed Patrol Risk Recognition Job in Miami, Florida

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Risk Recognition in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will support a government location by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and responding professionally to changing situations. You will provide outstanding customer service, clear communication, and dependable support while working as part of a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, caring, and integrity.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting requirements.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, vehicle, and incident activity in accordance with site procedures.
- Carry authorized equipment in compliance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific post orders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
- Provide a DD214 with Honorable Discharge, an Associate's Degree or 60 college credits, a Police Academy Certificate, or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
- A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
