As a Security Officer Checkpoint Screener in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a government location, where you will help monitor access points, screen visitors and belongings, and support a professional environment through strong communication and attention to detail. You will remain visible, conduct routine observation of assigned areas, and help to deter security-related incidents while delivering customer service that reflects our agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Screen visitors, employees, and/or property entering the location in accordance with established procedures and report concerns or irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while supporting site protocols and directions from leadership.
- Monitor entry points and assist with access control activities to help to deter unauthorized items and/or unauthorized entry.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter as assigned, noting unusual conditions and communicating observations through appropriate channels.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
