What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Screen people, bags, packages, and/or personal items entering the location using approved equipment and inspection procedures, and report prohibited items or irregular findings according to site guidelines.
- Verify identification, review access permissions, and direct authorized individuals to the appropriate entrance, office, and/or waiting area while maintaining accurate entry documentation.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site personnel, supervisors, and/or public officials as needed.
- Monitor screening checkpoints and surrounding access areas for unusual activity, help to deter unauthorized entry, and document security-related concerns, incidents, and/or policy violations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess 2+ years of security-related experience.
- Possess proof of high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
