Security Officer - Access Control Driver

As a Security Officer - Access Control Driver in Milford, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a food and beverage location, you will manage access control by greeting visitors, verifying credentials, logging entries, and supporting badge and gate procedures. You will remain highly visible, conduct routine patrols, and report security-related concerns with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access to the facility by checking identification, verifying appointments and/or deliveries, issuing visitor credentials, and directing traffic to appropriate entry points.
• Screen inbound and outbound trucks, employee vehicles, and vendors in accordance with site policies, including verifying bills of lading and maintaining accurate entry and exit logs.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including production, warehouse, and exterior areas. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A minimum of 6+ months of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
