Security Officer Gate House - Overnight Job in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

As a Security Officer in Milwaukee, WI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help maintain a secure, welcoming environment by monitoring entry points, verifying badges and visitor access, and supporting site access procedures. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and help deter security-related incidents through a professional presence. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
- Monitor and control access to the facility, verifying credentials and authorizations for personnel, visitors, vendors, and vehicles in accordance with site requirements.
- Maintain accurate access-control records, including visitor logs, contractor check-ins, badge issuance, and delivery documentation.
- Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, entrances, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify unauthorized activity and support site policy compliance.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
