Security Officer - Armed Driver Patrol

As a Security Officer - Armed Driver Patrol in Mission Hills, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Armed, driving Patrol Officer at a cultural institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to needs as they arise, communicate clearly with staff and guests, and document observations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, parishioners, and/or event attendees by following site-specific, security-related procedures and access control requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns, coordinating with site leadership, and requesting outside assistance when needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, galleries, offices, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, visitor flow, and restricted areas, checking credentials as required and maintaining an orderly presence during services, tours, and special events.
• Complete routine documentation such as incident reports, patrol activity logs, and visitor entries, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card and/or license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
