Security Guard - Office Complex

As a Security Guard - Office Complex, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal at a premier commercial real estate location as an unarmed patrol officer, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming atmosphere through strong communication and customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
- Respond to incidents, maintenance-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting issues through appropriate channels.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout lobbies, corridors, parking areas, common spaces, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and access points, verifying authorized access when required and assisting with visitor direction and property-related inquiries.
- Support property operations by observing building conditions, reporting hazards or suspicious activity, and communicating with local contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
Minimum Requirements:
- A New York State Security Guard License is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
