Security Officer Patrol

Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic government transportation location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations with strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
- Respond to incidents, service requests, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of ferry terminals, public access areas, boarding zones, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and visitor activity, assisting with access control practices and reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
- Support orderly operations during passenger movement, arrivals, departures, and/or service disruptions by following post orders and coordinating with appropriate personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
