Security Officer Visitor Desk Associate

As a Security Officer Visitor Desk Associate in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal at a welcoming front desk post within a renowned cultural institution, where you will greet visitors, manage access, monitor activity, and support a professional environment. In this people-first role, you will use strong communication and customer service skills to help address security-related concerns while reflecting Allied Universal’s values of reliability, teamwork, innovation, and integrity.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out front desk procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor lobby and entry activity, verify access permissions, and report unusual or suspicious behavior to help support security-related operations at the location.
- Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining accurate front desk logs and related documentation.
- Assist with directing guests, managing visitor check-in processes, and communicating site instructions in a professional manner appropriate for a cultural institution setting.
- Support access control functions, answer routine questions, and coordinate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel when needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
