Unarmed Security Officer - Residential Site

As a Unarmed Security Officer - Residential Site in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential location, you will conduct routine patrols of common areas and grounds, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor check-in. You will assist residents, guests, and staff with clear communication and customer service while documenting concerns and escalating issues as needed. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors and/or property staff by following site-specific procedures, access protocols and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential common areas, lobbies, corridors, stairwells, amenity spaces, exterior grounds and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and observe for security-related concerns, verify authorization as required and/or direct visitors to appropriate check-in procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and/or resident concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner, document observations and actions and notify site leadership and/or emergency services as appropriate.
• Complete accurate reports and logs, communicate notable activity during shift transitions and support customer service requests consistent with post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be 21+ years of age.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
