Security Officer - Retail Patrol

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, stay highly visible, and respond to security-related concerns with calm professionalism. You will greet guests, assist tenants, document incidents, and communicate clearly with your team to help maintain an inviting environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail and mall location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout common areas, storefront perimeters, corridors, and parking areas, documenting observations and unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with crowd management, resolving disturbances, and coordinating with site management and/or public responders as needed.
• Monitor access points and public areas for policy compliance, help to deter unauthorized activity, and report maintenance hazards, suspicious behavior, and policy violations through required reporting channels.
• Complete routine activity logs, incident reports, and shift briefings, and communicate professionally with tenants, guests, and onsite staff to support daily operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
