As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Officer in Norristown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and respond to security-related concerns with calm, professional communication. You will support access control and incident documentation, using site technology as needed. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as directed.
• Perform armed patrol duties and maintain a professional presence to help to deter unauthorized activity; conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, critical equipment areas, parking areas, and the perimeter as assigned.
• Monitor access control points and visitor processing, verify identification and/or credentials, and manage entry and exit in accordance with site requirements for a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with on-site personnel and public emergency services when needed.
• Complete required reports and documentation, communicate notable conditions to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management, and support investigations by preserving observations and records.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have Act 235 qualification in Pennsylvania.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
