As a Security Officer - Automotive Company in Novi, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic automotive location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support teams and visitors with professional customer service. You will complete routine rounds, document observations, and communicate clearly with site contacts. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and requesting additional assistance when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing areas, offices, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.
  • Control access at vehicle and pedestrian entry points by verifying credentials, issuing temporary passes when authorized, and directing traffic flow as assigned.
  • Monitor alarm panels, cameras, and/or access control systems, and report irregularities per post orders.
  • Complete routine patrol and incident documentation, including shift activity logs, badge and key accountability records, and equipment inspection notes.
  • Support production and logistics operations by maintaining a visible presence near shipping and receiving areas, staging lanes, and storage areas, and reporting suspicious behavior or hazards to site contacts.
  • Assist with investigations of policy violations, damage, and/or theft by preserving observations, documenting details, and forwarding information through the chain of command.
  • Perform perimeter checks of fences, gates, and dock doors, and report maintenance issues, unsecured doors, and/or lighting outages to site contacts.
  • Provide directions and general assistance to employees, contractors, and delivery drivers while maintaining a professional demeanor and following confidentiality expectations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
