Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Officer

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Officer in De Soto, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech and telecommunications location as an unarmed patrol officer, helping to monitor assigned areas through routine patrols, a visible presence, and strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will support security-related operations while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity in a people-first culture.

- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies at a technology-focused location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials when required, and document observations, incidents, and/or policy violations according to site guidelines.
- Support emergency response activities, including assisting with evacuations, access control adjustments, and coordination with first responders and/or designated site personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
