Security Officer Entry Authorization

As a Security Officer Entry Authorization in Ontario, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal at a healthcare location where you will monitor entry points, verify access, and support a professional, welcoming environment. In this Access Control role, you will help to reduce security-related concerns through strong communication, attention to detail, and visible presence. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
- Monitor entrances, exits, badges, visitor logs, and/or delivery activity to help support authorized access and report unusual or unauthorized activity to the appropriate contact.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and communicating with site leadership and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, with attention to restricted areas, parking areas, and other sensitive locations where conditions may vary by site.
- Assist with screening, directions, and general site information while helping to support order and following established protocols for patients, visitors, employees, and/or contractors.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
