As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols of sales floors, entrances, and surrounding areas while remaining highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will engage customers and associates with helpful service, clear communication, and timely incident reporting. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, exits, stock areas, and exterior perimeter.
• Help to deter theft and other unwanted activity by maintaining a visible presence, observing customer and employee activity, and reporting suspicious behavior per site guidelines.
• Monitor access points, assist with store opening and closing routines as directed, and support traffic flow near entrances and pickup areas when needed.
• Conduct security-related checks of doors, locks, gates, and emergency equipment, and report maintenance concerns to site contacts.
• Provide customer assistance such as giving directions, responding to questions, and helping to de-escalate minor disputes while following site policies.
• Complete incident reports, patrol logs, and other documentation accurately and promptly, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site management.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed, and assist with scene control until relieved.
• Use site-approved communication tools and follow established escalation procedures for alarms, disturbances, medical events, and other urgent situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
