Security Officer Patrol Operations Job in Piscataway, New Jersey

As a Security Officer Patrol Operations in Piscataway, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a luxury retail location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for guests and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a high-end retail location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail sales floor, stock areas, entrances, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help protect merchandise and property.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
- Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and vendor activity while maintaining a professional presence consistent with a luxury retail environment.
- Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
Minimum Requirements:
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge system experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
