As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech and telecom location, you will coordinate security-related responses, monitor alarms and cameras, manage access control and badging requests, and keep clear, timely communication with on-site teams. You will support routine patrol activity through smart dispatching, incident documentation, and customer-focused assistance. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Operate as a dispatch point of contact by receiving calls, radio traffic, alarms, and/or service requests and routing information to the appropriate personnel.
  • Monitor security-related systems including CCTV, access control, visitor management tools, and alarm panels, and report irregular activity per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including gathering details, coordinating notifications, and documenting actions taken.
  • Maintain accurate dispatch logs and incident reports, including time stamps, locations, parties involved, and follow-up actions in required systems.
  • Communicate clearly with on-site teams, building management, and/or local authorities as directed by post orders.
  • Support access management by verifying credentials, issuing temporary badges as authorized, and tracking visitor, vendor, and contractor activity per site policy.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter when assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Assist with emergency and non-emergency communications such as announcements, mass notification activations when authorized, and coordination of evacuation and/or shelter-in-place procedures.
  • Perform routine checks of dispatch equipment including phones, radios, monitors, and networked consoles and report outages or malfunctions through the established process.
  • Provide shift turnover briefings, including open incidents, watch items, and pending requests to support continuity of operations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • - Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • - Be 21+ years of age.
  • - Customer service experience is preferred.
  • - CPR/First Aid is preferred.
  • - Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • - Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • - Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • - Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • - A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
