Security Officer - Entry Control Driver

As a Security Officer - Entry Control Driver in Rensselaer, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading healthcare location where you will support access control by greeting staff and visitors, verifying credentials, managing entries and exits, and documenting security-related activity. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter incidents, and deliver clear, respectful communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors at a healthcare research and manufacturing location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Manage access control by verifying identification, issuing and collecting visitor badges, directing authorized persons to appropriate check-in points, and documenting entries and exits per site requirements.
• Monitor and operate access control systems, cameras, and/or alarm panels; report irregular activity, maintenance issues, and policy concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including completing reports, preserving relevant information, and notifying appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access, observe hazards or suspicious activity, and report findings per post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 1+ years of security experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
