Security Officer Armed Perimeter Patrol

As a Security Officer Armed Perimeter Patrol in Ridgeland, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will support access points as needed, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and your team. Guided by our agile, reliable, and innovative approach, you will deliver through teamwork while always acting with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control requirements, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, requesting assistance, and coordinating with on-site personnel and/or public responders as directed.
• Monitor entrances, controlled areas, and common spaces; verify identification and/or authorization when required; and document entries, exits, and unusual activity per post orders.
• Complete timely reports such as incident logs, patrol reports, and shift activity summaries, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal supervision and/or site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1+ years' armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Access control and/or badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
