Juvenile Corrections Security Officer - Patrol

As a Juvenile Corrections Security Officer - Patrol in Ridgeville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location as a driving access control officer, helping manage entry points, verify credentials, and support badge-related processes. You will monitor assigned areas, perform routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage incidents, and deliver strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Monitor and control access points, verify credentials, screen visitors, and document entries and exits according to post orders and facility protocols.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site personnel and public officials as needed.
- Support movement control by directing authorized staff, visitors, and vendors through designated entry procedures while following established access restrictions.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, remaining alert to unusual activity and reporting security-related concerns promptly.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- COLA DPSS/DHS tuberculosis test and MMR vaccinations are required.
- A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
