As an Unarmed Security Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, help to deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to site personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of refinery grounds, access points, perimeter areas, and operational facilities to help identify and report security-related concerns, unusual conditions, and policy violations.
- Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing authorized visitors and contractors, and reporting unauthorized access attempts according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Document patrol activities, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns accurately in required reports and logs.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
