As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, families, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity and teamwork. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, patient or visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, compassionate, problem-solving manner while following healthcare facility protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, assisting with directions and reporting unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.
- Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Hospital vaccination requirements are required.
- Ability to restrain individuals in a hospital setting is required.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
