As a Security Officer - Distribution Facility in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor access points, screen visitors and/or team members, and support security-related operations through clear communication and attentive presence. In this role, you will remain visible, assist with routine patrols, and deliver customer service with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity in a people-first culture.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by following site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies at the location.
- Screen individuals, personal property, packages, and/or vehicles entering designated areas, and report suspicious, restricted, or unauthorized items in accordance with post orders.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, docks, and perimeter points to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
- Document screening results, incidents, and daily activities in required logs and reports, and communicate relevant information during shift changes and/or to Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
