As a Security Officer - Overnight Highrise Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
- Respond to incidents, maintenance concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to property management and/or emergency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, corridors, parking areas, loading zones, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, observe visitor and vendor activity, and support site access procedures in alignment with property guidelines and tenant expectations.
- Document daily activities, incidents, and/or observations in required reports, and provide courteous assistance to occupants and guests regarding directions, building procedures, and other routine concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
