As a Security Officer - Building Access Control in San Juan Capistrano, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and access concerns, document observations, and support staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and/or coordinating with on-site leadership and public responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and/or visitor authorization as required, and help maintain orderly entry and exit in accordance with site requirements.
• Complete timely reports for incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and/or site contacts while supporting privacy and confidentiality expectations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Security-related Experience ‐ 1+ Years is required.
• Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
• Being Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• A State, County, or City Issued Security License is preferred.
• Being able to Lift Up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
