As a Security Officer Dispatch Monitor in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Dispatch professional at a busy retail location, you will help coordinate security-related communications, monitor activity, support timely responses, and assist with access and alarm-related needs. Pay Rate: $26.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a retail location.
  • Monitor radio, telephone, alarm, and/or camera systems to receive calls for service, document incidents, and dispatch personnel to priority situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Coordinate communications between on-site personnel, mall management, and/or first responders during incidents, medical calls, maintenance concerns, and other critical situations.
  • Maintain detailed logs, activity reports, and incident records, helping to support timely follow-up, accurate information sharing, and compliance with post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, as needed, while observing conditions and reporting suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
