Security Officer - Luxury Retail Job in Scottsdale, Arizona

As a Security Officer - Luxury Retail in Scottsdale, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Screener at a premier retail location, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, verifying badges, and communicating professionally with associates and guests. Your visible presence and attention to detail will help deter security-related incidents while supporting exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, guests, and employees at a luxury retail location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
- Screen employees, visitors, contractors, deliveries, and packages in accordance with established access-control and screening procedures.
- Monitor entry points and report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned retail areas, entrances, exits, stock areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
