Security Officer - Mobile Unit - Full Time Job in Sparks, Nevada

As a Security Officer Unarmed Mobile Unit in Sparks, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Security Officer supporting a utilities location, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and help maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. This primarily driving post requires a valid driver’s license and offers opportunities to remain visible, help deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate at a utility services location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access to designated areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate visitor, incident, and patrol records.
- Report maintenance hazards, suspicious activity, and security-related policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership in accordance with established procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
