As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor and truck traffic, and maintain accurate logs. You will remain highly visible, perform routine rounds, and communicate clearly with staff and drivers to help reduce security-related issues. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, vendors, and employees by following site-specific access control procedures, security-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control entry and exit at gates and/or dock areas by checking identification, verifying appointments and shipping paperwork, issuing temporary badges, and maintaining visitor and vehicle logs.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and communications systems to identify unusual activity, then report observations and take appropriate action to help to deter unauthorized access and/or theft.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site contacts and public responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse areas, yards, parking lots, and perimeter points, documenting findings and reporting maintenance hazards and/or policy issues through the chain of command.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
