Security Officer - Unarmed Driver Rounds

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Driver Rounds in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government fairgrounds location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist visitors and staff with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under Allied Universal driver policy requirements. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, vendors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and post instructions at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services when appropriate and supporting incident coordination.
• Control access at designated points by checking credentials, issuing visitor directions, monitoring gates and doors, and documenting deliveries and/or vendor activity per site requirements.
• Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, communicate via radio and/or phone, and support crowd and traffic flow during events and peak visitor periods.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Security-related experience of 6+ months is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
