Security Officer Entry Desk Associate

- Provide customer service at the front desk by following site-specific procedures, visitor protocols, and/or access guidelines for a shelter location.
- Monitor entrances, greet residents and visitors, verify authorization as directed, and document arrivals, departures, and/or unusual activity.
- Respond to incidents, conflicts, and/or urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and emergency services when appropriate.
- Complete front desk logs, incident reports, and other required documentation related to security-related activities and daily operations.
- Help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior by maintaining an attentive presence at the front desk and following post orders.
Minimum Requirements:
- A New York State Security Guard License is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
