As a Security Officer - Hospital Entrance Screener in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a government healthcare location, you will greet visitors and staff, support entry screening and access control, and help maintain orderly flow during high-traffic clinic activity. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with patients, clinicians, and the public. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a government healthcare location.
  • Conduct entry screening of people and permitted items using established screening processes and equipment, requesting additional review when needed.
  • Monitor entrances, waiting areas, and adjacent corridors to help to deter unauthorized access, and document security-related activity per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and emergency responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas and the perimeter when assigned, noting hazards, unsecured doors, and unusual conditions and reporting them per procedure.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Hospital vaccines are required.
  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
