As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access in Three Rivers, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works:
- Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
- Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with location policies.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related concerns according to post instructions.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, checkpoints, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
- Support screening and inspection processes for people, packages, and/or vehicles entering restricted areas while maintaining clear communication with site personnel and guests.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
