As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Access Control in Virginia Beach, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, delivery drivers, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, helping to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate contacts as directed.
- Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence and following Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
