As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Observation in Virginia Beach, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and deliver outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while responding to security-related concerns with integrity, teamwork, and care. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, loading docks, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
- Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and delivery traffic; verify credentials and follow site procedures for entry, escort, and restricted-area access.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel in accordance with site-specific protocols.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, hazards, and security-related concerns, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
