What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors at a government location by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization credentials, maintain visitor logs, and issue or collect access badges in accordance with site requirements.
- Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
- Control vehicle and pedestrian access to restricted areas, directing authorized individuals to designated entrances and assisting with visitor processing.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, surrounding grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
