Security Officer - Foot Patrol

As a Security Officer - Bicycle Patrol in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol an energetic food and retail destination, staying highly visible while conducting routine rounds and checks. You will help identify and report security-related concerns, support access control, and assist guests and team members with professional customer service and clear communication. You will work as part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including sales floors, common areas, back-of-house corridors, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations, and assist with visitor direction and crowd flow during peak periods.
• Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and report maintenance concerns, suspicious activity, and/or policy issues to Allied Universal management and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 or more years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 or more years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be able to lift up to 20 lbs, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
