What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential location, including common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter points as assigned.
- Monitor access to the location and help to deter unauthorized entry, disturbances, and/or unusual activity through visible presence and routine observation.
- Support a welcoming environment by assisting with directions, answering general questions, and communicating security-related information to residents, guests, and/or staff.
Minimum Requirements:
- 1+ years of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security-related supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years of security-related experience is required.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
