Security Officer - Full Time Entry Control

As a Security Officer - Full Time Entry Control in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech and communications location where you will help manage access points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and support a professional, welcoming experience for employees and visitors. - Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a dynamic technology-focused location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access while maintaining accurate access-related records.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the proper communication channels when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to observe conditions, report unusual activity, and support security-related policies and procedures.
- Assist with visitor processing, employee access requests, and delivery coordination while maintaining professional communication with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
