Security Officer - Visitor Entry Desk

As a Security Officer -Visitor Entry Desk in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic tech/media/telecom location, helping manage entry points, monitor visitor activity, and conduct routine patrols. In this role, you will help support a secure environment through strong communication, professional presence, and customer service. - Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, process visitor check-in and sign-out activity, and help to deter unauthorized access at the location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, paying attention to restricted areas, access points, and other security-related concerns that may arise during the shift.
- Support daily operations by maintaining accurate logs, reporting unusual activity, and assisting with badge, key, and/or credential control in a professional manner.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
